Conference Venues and Facilities at Aotea Lodge, Porirua, Wellington

Aotea Lodge is a purpose built motel/conference centre. Our three well equipped conference rooms are regularly used for group workshop training by government and local body agencies, educational institutions, and business and social agencies.

Location is a factor in the choice of Aotea Lodge as a conference venue. The Lodge is a city venue in a rural setting surrounded by the open fields of the Police College, the historic Gear Homestead and Aotea College overlooking Porirua Harbour and Aotea Lagoon. And yet it is only 200m from SH1, 3 minutes from Porirua city centre and 15 minutes from the centre of Wellington. Our marketing slogan is “away from the office but close to Town”.

Aotea Lodge is built on expansive grounds with a variety of opportunities for outdoor and indoor group workshop activity including the gardens, the café surrounds and the reception areas adjacent to the indoor pool.

The challenges posed by the range of high wires between the parks pine trees attracts participants young and old and is a highly suitable venue for personal development and leadership training programmes.

Catering for conference

We offer a full catering service, with an extensive menu to suit your requirements and budget. Our catering is freshly prepared on site on the day by highly qualified chef and features locally grown ingredients. We have a great menu with lots of variety. We cater to any dietary requirements.
Choose from a selection of morning and afternoon teas and a wide variety of lunch options. We receive many compliments from guests about the quality of our freshly prepared menu.
Guest and delegates will enjoy the poolside restaurant with garden setting or café atmosphere for lunch and breakout. 
Our catering service can be as simple as tea, coffee and a muffin on arrival, through to buffet lunches. We provide quality china and cutlery, and our entire facility is spotlessly clean.
